Sculpture Walk Peoria Opening Day!

Join us for Sculpture Walk Peoria's Opening Day 2019, sponsored by The Kottemann Family!

Cost: FREE
Where: Peoria Riverfront Museum - Sun Plaza
When: May 18th from 9am - NOON

Opening Day will kick off with a ribbon cutting followed by an opportunity to meet the artists who have created the 9 new sculptures along Washington Street. Live musical performances by Sarah & The Underground and Projekts will be ongoing at the Plaza as will interactive art activities from a wide variety of organizations focused on arts education. The Peoria Riverfront Museum will offer free general admission to any Sculpture Walk Peoria attendee on the day of the event.

And don't forget - across the street the Peoria Riverfront Market will be open from 8am - noon!

Rennick History Thru Art Show

The Peoria Historical Society Presents the 55th Annual Rennick History Thru Art Show. Registration for Artist coming soon. Artwork will all have a historic significance to Peoria done by local artists. Plan your visit to the Peoria Riverfront Museum!

Spirit of Peoria Sightseeing Cruise

01:30PM to 03:30PM

Departure time: 2pm These cruises are1.5 hours-long and run 2 to 5 times a week. They begin and end at the riverfront dock in downtown Peoria, with the Spirit cruising up and down the Illinois River. 

Kids and adults alike will be fascinated by the boat’s tall fluted stacks and gigantic candy-apple red paddlewheel churning through the water. It’s great entertainment for all ages. Trip includes Captain’s Commentary. Gift shop and concessions are available.

Bocce Ball 101

05:00PM to 06:00PM

Learn to play the easy and enjoyable game of bocce at Peoria's downtown playground. We'll be there to demonstrate the game play, explain the simple rules of the game, and answer any questions along the way. At the end, information will be available for bocce league registration.
