Steamboat Classic 

The Steamboat Classic is Central Illinois’ premier running experience. But it’s more than a race—it’s your community event.

Attracting runners from around the world and around the block, the Steamboat Classic is an equal-opportunity athletic event, welcoming walkers, joggers and runners of all ages and ability levels.

Whether this is your first time or you’re going for your best time, one of the Steamboat Classic events is perfect for you! All participants will receive a race entry, complimentary technical race shirt, celebratory medal, and entry to the Finish Line festival to celebrate their achievements.

4 MILE
The Steamboat Classic 4 Mile is famous as one of the world’s fastest 4 mile races (thanks to the flat course). Steamboat is for more than just elite runners, it’s for everyone who wants to get up and get moving!

15K
The Steamboat Classic 15K is regarded as Illinois’ Toughest 15K because of the hilly loops that the race course takes in Glen Oak Park.

2 MILE
The Steamboat Classic 2 Mile is for participants who are interested in experiencing the Steamboat Classic, but aren’t ready for the 4 mile or 15K races.

Spirit of Peoria Sightseeing Cruise

01:30PM to 03:30PM

Departure time: 2pm These cruises are1.5 hours-long and run 2 to 5 times a week. They begin and end at the riverfront dock in downtown Peoria, with the Spirit cruising up and down the Illinois River. 

Kids and adults alike will be fascinated by the boat’s tall fluted stacks and gigantic candy-apple red paddlewheel churning through the water. It’s great entertainment for all ages. Trip includes Captain’s Commentary. Gift shop and concessions are available.

Tailgate N' Tallboys

The 2019 Tailgate N’ Tallboys Music Series will, again, be held downtown Peoria on the Riverfront. The series will span 7 different days with 2 festivals. June 13 will be the Summer Kickoff Party. June 14-17 will be the first festival. July 19-20 will be the second and Sep 14 will be the final day of the music series. Each date will have multiple big-name acts, along with many local artists and festivities.
