Relax Under the Stars!- 12:00PM to 01:00PM
Stressed at work? Need a break from your hectic day? Come to Dome Planetarium and calm down. Enjoy a short star talk, then let your tension float away under starry skies with soothing background music. First Wednesday of every month at noon.
Free parking in the museum's parking garage, just bring in your ticket to be validated at the Front Desk. If you arrive past Noon, it will be dark in the Dome. Please pause for a few moments to allow your eyes to adjust to the dark. Someone will help you find your seats. Food and drink welcome in the Dome.
Please note that all are welcome, but this program may not be suitable for young children. It is designed to give people a quiet time to relax, and periods of long sitting can be difficult for some young ones.

Take a step towards zero waste and healthier living with DIY laundry detergent! We will be providing all the ingredients from local sources when possible and walking you through the step by step process to create your own detergent. Ingredients include: hot water, soda ash, baking soda, and castille soap.
Please bring a 2 gallon container to take your detergent home with you. (Zero waste hot tip: check thrift stores for 2 gallon jugs with spiggots for easy dispensing)

SPECIAL HALLOWEEN PARTY WITH THE BRAZILIONAIRES AT THE CONTEMPORARY ART CENTER- 05:30PM to 08:30PM
There will lots of competition to win a blown glass zombie pumpkin by glass artist Misty Long. 2nd Prize is a blown glass wine stopper also by local glass artist Jeremie Draper. Everyone can vote by ballot for their favorite costume.
...October Drum Circle at Peoria Art Guild- 06:30PM to 08:00PM
All are welcome to join in this free monthly event! Due to a Halloween event at the Forest Park Nature Center this month, we are moving our monthly circle to one of our most favorite places to drum in Peoria: Peoria Art Guild!
Take a trip around the world through rhythm! Personal and collaborative exploration calls you! Rhythm and drumming has been proven to boost the immune system, uplift your spirit and have numerous positive effects on the brain and over all well being.
No musical experience is necessary! You will find yourself surrounded by beautiful art, all sorts of interesting instruments to explore and the freedom to let your inhibitions go. Play, dance or just come to listen. Love donations of $10 appreciated and go toward future costs to keep the events coming to Peoria and surrounding areas.
Bring a drum or use one of ours (fcfs).
