Relax Under the Stars!- 12:00PM to 01:00PM
Stressed at work? Need a break from your hectic day? Come to Dome Planetarium and calm down. Enjoy a short star talk, then let your tension float away under starry skies with soothing background music. First Wednesday of every month at noon.

Free parking in the museum's parking garage, just bring in your ticket to be validated at the Front Desk. If you arrive past Noon, it will be dark in the Dome. Please pause for a few moments to allow your eyes to adjust to the dark. Someone will help you find your seats. Food and drink welcome in the Dome.
Please note that all are welcome, but this program may not be suitable for young children. It is designed to give people a quiet time to relax, and periods of long sitting can be difficult for some young ones.

First Ascent Peoria Turns 1!- 10:00AM to 08:00PM
Join us on Saturday, January 11th for an all-day, birthday celebration. It's been a year since First Ascent opened in Peoria, and it's time to party!

There will be tons of fun and games all day, plus sweet prizes and giveaways!
From 4-7 pm, we'll host an Enduro Comp where the person who climbs the most routes (regardless of difficulty) wins!
At 8 pm, we'll host a screening of Valley Uprising with popcorn, beer, and hot cocoa.

FamilyCore will be hosting the 21th Annual Frosty 5K and Dog Walk! Proceeds from this event will benefit programs and clients of FamilyCore.

The racecourse is 3.1 miles. The walk is a 1 mile course along the Peoria riverfront and walking path. Dogs are welcomed on the run and walk, but must remain on a leash.
The race starts at 9:00 am in front of RC Outfitters (311 SW Water Street, Peoria, IL) on the running path. Walkers and dog walkers start immediately after the runners. Everyone finishes up at the Gateway Building (200 NE Water Street, Peoria, IL) for prizes, race awards, food, hot chocolate, water, and other goodies.
Everyone who registers by Sunday, January 12th, 2020 will get a shirt before the race. Those who register after January 12th may not receive a shirt in the desired size.
Entry fee for runners until 1/17/20: $30
Entry fee for runners after above date: $40
Entry fee for family (3 members): $80
Entry fee for walkers: $30
Packet pickup: At RC Outfitters on Friday, January 24th between 11 am and 6 pm, and also Saturday morning January 25th between 8 am and 8:50 am.

In this class we work on finding calm in the chaos through a balanced practice of breath work and meditation that gently flows into fast paced asana work. Set to a fun playlist, this class will rejuvenate and relax you. We finish off the evening with snacks, wine (or tea), and great conversation. Come enjoy the night out you deserve!!
